Experience/Training:
I have been writing seriously for about ten years and my consuming interest is comedy. My writing training includes a year at The English Touring Theatre and two years at Keele University of which both venues gave very good grounding for up and coming writers. Also I was a member of the very excellent North West based Launchpad Theatre group, which very sadly is no more.
Other claims to fame are a book recently published called The Post-box At The Crossroads which is probably best described as ‘The ultimate applicants guide to almost anything’. A technique of applying for a job, a loan or asking someone famous to marry you. In fact anything you like when you are sure that the person you are writing to is going to say no. It is basically a book of humorous and ludicrous excuses that enable you to keep re-writing to your quarry because your letters keep falling victim to unexplainable disasters.
I have also been a contributor to ITV’s comedy show Shoot the Writers, both the last series and the forthcoming one.
