Geoff Graves

Born: 1950

Based: Cheshire

Theatrical Experience/Training:
If you don’t count playing the head king in a nativity play when five years old, Geoff was first involved in Amateur Theatre in the late 70s/early 80s with St. David's Players, a (very) small group in Pencoed, Mid-Glamorgan. Four years and several church hall performances later, he moved to Cheshire and after a 12 year black hole (dramatically speaking), joined Sale Nomads Theatre Club, where he is today.

Successes include:

  • Nominated for "Best Supporting Actor" - GMDF Full Length Festival 2002.

  • Winner "Best Performance in a Comedy" - Hale One-Act Festival 2004.

  • Joint Winner "Adjudicator's Award" - GMDF One-Act Festival 2004.

  • Winner "Best Performance in a Nomad Production" - 2004.

  • Winner “Best Overall Play (Drama)” (for “TRACKS”) - Hale One-Act Festival 2005.

  • Winner “Best Director (Adult)” (for “TRACKS”) - Hale One-Act Festival 2005
  • Winner "Best Performance in a Nomad Production" - 2005

He has also Stage Managed 1˝ plays for Nomads and helps with set design and construction.

Comments from Stephen Joseph Theatre Script Reading Service on "The Cupboard" (Published by NTP): “You convey a scene with great dramatic potential very effectively, …”; “… early scenes in particular demonstrate a considerable skill in drawing acute dramatic portraits …“.

Geoff enjoys writing as an escape from reality and his Day Job in IT Services.

He likes to keep an audience guessing until the last page.
