Theatrical Experience/Training:
A full-time lecturer, Chris
initially became involved with college drama productions for lighting
and sound and was soon drawn into supporting local amateur groups.
Observing productions develop and closely following performances (as
lighting, sound or both) is a rigorous learning experience in plot,
character, dialogue and the dramatic techniques of master playwrights.
Although an established technical author, Chris started writing for the
stage in the early nineties. His first play was staged in 1994 and
highly complementary comments from adjudicators and the warm reaction of
a live audience include ‘… a playwright of considerable stature…
beautifully drawn characters and splendid variation in emotional
attack… the pace of the dialogue is quite breathtaking…
delightful… beautiful comic…. A highly successful ending… a fine
piece of theatre…’
Successes include:-
