Theatrical Experience/Training:
Melville Lovatt has been writing over a long period and has written, in total, twelve stage plays, two TV plays and one full-length screenplay.

He is closely connected with the Belmont Theatre Company with whom he also acts and directs.

As a playwright, he is interested in all the enduring themes: love; sex; betrayal; power; jealousy; isolation and death. He is also very interested in the language which lies in pauses and silences between the spoken words.
