Jackie Staite

Born: 1949

Based: Solihull, West Midlands

Work Sought: Commissions welcome, for pantomime or Theatre in Education.

Theatrical Experience/Training:
Jackie Staite has been involved in amateur dramatics for 40 years, acting, writing and directing. Her production experience and knowledge of the limitations of the amateur stage led her to realise that successful pantomimes depend on good scripts rather than elaborate settings. The pantomimes would be equally workable for professional companies with a higher budget.
Her pantos are based on original popular tales, but given novel twists to make them much more interesting, amusing and up-to-date. That is why people of all ages enjoy them and come back for more, year after year.
Jackie Staite is also a trained teacher, with experience of working with young people and an interest in Theatre in Education.
